Here's to life; to Healing!
When I sit down to write
I want to pen down my only prominent fight,
We all know
There’s some side of us that’s dark
Close to our heart & yet so far.
All the people of my age, your age
Are trapped in some sort of cage.
We all have something shattered within us
Being scared of disclosure, we just
Put a pretentious smile on our face
Because we have to keep up with the ongoing pace.
There are moments when somebody else pulls our strings
But you know, here’s a thing,
We were told,
Happiness is all sunshine
And
Solitary is all darkness
But aren’t we the ones who actually created this mess?
All this mess where
Black is dark and white is light
Where are the other colors during our state of plight?
I hope to wake up, to heal, winning this fight, one day
Where black is prosperity
And so is grey.
